History:
The Bulldog originated in England and was originally bred for the now banned sport of bull baiting. Early Bulldogs were much more aggressive and athletic than the modern version. After the sport was outlawed in the 19th century, breeders worked to soften the temperament of the breed, focusing on creating a gentle and loyal companion. Over time, the Bulldog evolved into the calm and affectionate dog we know today. Despite their tough appearance, modern Bulldogs are known for their friendly nature and strong bond with their families, becoming a symbol of determination and resilience in many cultures.
